What You Will Do
- Participate in sales activity - conduct sales calls, develop new business, establish new customers, identify new markets, and products as needed to grow the business
- Act as key member of the team, assist in driving revenue
- Oversee execution of sales strategy and refine sales processes as needed for Arcosa Crushed Concrete Houston region
- Collaborate and coordinate on the completion of sales effort, inventory, competitive landscape, and customer service key performance indicators
- Support the work and productivity of sales personnel to ensure sales volume, customer service and pricing goals are met
- Prepare estimates and submit bids for jobs
- Develop and maintain positive customer and intercompany relationships
- Mentor sales team members and monitor their development
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services as well as resolving customer complaints or issues.
- Initiate and perform market research and translate findings to the team
- Collaborate with Production on new product development based on market influence
- Contribute to budget planning efforts annually and report on variances in the budget to support quarterly results
- Take ownership of collections efforts and gather information to support credit team
- 7 years of experience in construction or building materials industry [preferred]
- Skilled in MS office
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
