Job Description:
Drilling Materials Coordinator
This advanced-level position ensures materials are purchased, received, processed, and distributed to meet project material requirements. The role may supervise personnel, coordinate logistics, and/or implement purchasing and documentation processes to meet project schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of drilling materials.
- Work closely with the materials and drilling teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of drilling materials.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Company and Customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to Rig(s) on site and internal stakeholders.
- Support 3rd party contractors as needed to ensure proper materials are identified and available.
- Collaborate with client-based leadership, planners, and engineers to identify materials, quantities, and coordinates all drilling-related materials during the annual re-supply activities.
- Perform daily activities in alignment with warehousemen, expediters, support crews, and truck drivers related to drilling materials ordering, shipping, receiving, staging, and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to expedite materials and resolve delays.
- May determine material take-offs and substitutions based on project specifications and drawings.
- Review and monitor purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments.
- Maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure materials are stored according to Company and Customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean worksite.
- Be knowledgeable of the contents of the ASH handbook, company policies, and pertinent standard operating procedures.
- Comply with Company and Customer policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other team members.
- Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence as required.
- Speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
