Key Responsibilities
The Drilling Materials Coordinator is an advanced-level position responsible for ensuring materials are purchased, received, processed, and distributed to meet project material requirements.
This position may supervise personnel, coordinate logistics, and/or implement purchasing and documentation processes to meet project schedules.
- Functions as liaison between the materials and drilling teams
- Approaches work professionally within a team-oriented work environment
- Collaborates with team members to ensure timely, accurate delivery of drilling materials to various sites
- Performs daily activities in alignment with warehousemen, expediters, support crews, and truck drivers related to drilling materials ordering, shipping, receiving, staging, and delivery
- Supports all drilling-related activities with a strong focus on customer service to Rig(s) on site
- Supports 3rd party contractors as needed to ensure proper materials are identified and available
- Works with client-based leadership, planners, and engineers to identify materials, quantities, and coordinates all drilling-related materials during the annual re-supply activities
- Communicates clearly and presents strong people skills, along with strong motivation and self-direction
- Must be able to prioritize with effective multitasking skills
- Establishes and maintains an environment that fosters safety, inclusion, and a 'customer service' attitude
- Manages the daily transportation of all materials and personnel as required in a safe and expeditious fashion
- May determine material take-offs and substitutions based on project specifications and drawings
- Communicates effectively with suppliers to expedite materials and resolve delays
- Interfaces with project leads, client representatives, service providers, and managers to provide regular material delivery updates
- May review and monitor purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments
- Maintains proper documentation
- Ensures materials are stored according to Company and Customer requirements
- Maintains a safe and clean worksite
- Is knowledgeable of the contents of the ASH handbook, company policies, and pertinent standard operating procedures
- Complies with Company and Customer policies and procedures
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other team members
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required
- Possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Supervise all assigned employees within the department
