Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Monitor clients' health status by observing changes in their condition and reporting them to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Document care provided and any significant observations in client records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or teaching hospitals.
Skills
- Experience in clinic settings, geriatrics, or medical-surgical environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital medicine practices and familiarity with inpatient care protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center or similar high-pressure environments.
- Experience in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) or operating room (OR) settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Empathy and patience to provide compassionate care to individuals with varying needs.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
