We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and professional Optometrist to join our team at Arden Park Optometry, a high quality and client-focused optometry care practice. As an Optometrist, you will provide exceptional eye care services to our patients, including eye exams, diagnosing vision conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, managing ocular diseases, fitting specialty contact lenses and offering treatment recommendations. You will work alongside a supportive team of technicians and administrative staff to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, including but not limited to glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on patient needs.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract surgery.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventative care, and the proper use of corrective eyewear.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, exam results, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay current on advancements in optometry, eye health technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide excellent patient care in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.


Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Valid state license to practice optometry and a current malpractice insurance policy.
  • Strong knowledge of ocular health and vision correction technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the latest optometry tools and technologies (e.g., OCT, visual field testing).
  • Interest in specialty contact lenses a plus, but not required.
