The Job- FOREMAN- Utility, Water/ Wastewater Construction

Technical Capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with pumps, pipes, valves, control systems, and electrical components.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and standards for water systems.

Supervisory Capabilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure work is performed efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor progress and address any delays or challenges that arise.

Quality Control and Safety

  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to minimize risks.

Communication and Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between workers, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, issues, and milestones to management.
  • Assist in coordination of the delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to avoid delays.

Team Leadership- LEAD by EXAMPLE

  • Train and mentor new team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues among team members to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Motivate the workforce to meet deadlines and achieve project goals.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid, or CPR) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore) and tools is an advantage.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,500.00 - $128,000.00 per year
