UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities
The Patient Services Representative functions as a patient services professional in a call center or clinical front desk environment.
Patient check-in / out, appointment scheduling, scanning and filing documents, and insurance verification.
Obtaining authorization, collecting payments, and charge posting.
Faxing medical records requests and scheduling patients for injections at the hospital.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience posting payments and charge entry
Patient record documentation skills.
Preferred Job Requirements
Two (2) years' of recent experience in a clinic or healthcare setting
