Get to Know Your Team :
BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs and three private infusion rooms for families.
Responsibilities
Ability to adequately perform breast ultrasounds as well as invasive breast procedures.
Sonographer must be able to perform procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Need to exercise critical thinking skills, be able to multi-task, and manage stress.
The Ultrasound technologist will provide patient care essential to the exam, when performing medical imaging procedures, use all available safety devices, and follow the established protocols.
Must be able to work well with others and have effective communication skills.
Sonographer will follow the direction of the Breast Center Radiologists as well as the ultrasound supervisor.
Shifts are spent with extensive time on their feet and standing. Sonographer are responsible for performing quality exams and maintaining their credentials.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree, if training is needed
CPR certification from either the Red Cross or American Heart Association
