We are looking for an Engineering Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of carbon capture development and commercialization projects. The ideal candidate will combine a background in technical problem solving with excellent communication and organizational skills to deliver systems that satisfy project requirements, budgets and timelines. This role will be onsite or hybrid.
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop project scope and requirements that align with company objectives
- Generate rigorous budgets and schedules, applying actuals and contingency to your estimates
- Mobilize projects by generating project charters covering key areas of governance: project milestones, roles and responsibilities, communication plans, and file organization
- Manage engineering projects from inception through completion, monitoring progress relative to plan and proactively removing blockers
- Develop presentations and reports for internal and external use, and regularly communicate project updates, issues and major decisions
- Repeatedly review project scope, requirements and key assumptions, and reconcile them with evolving customer and company goals
- Lead proactive risk management throughout project lifecycles
- Facilitate technical problem solving during design, fabrication, integration and testing phases
- Take a hands-on approach to supporting the team with execution of deliverables
What You Will Bring to the Table
- 3 years of prior engineering experience working on development of new technology, products, industrial or chemical processes/systems, and/or capital projects
- Experience leading successful project delivery for internal and/or external customers
- Ability to grasp complex technical topics and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences
- Excellent writing, presentation and spreadsheet skills
- Aptitude for problem solving, resourcefulness, and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Bonus Points
- Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, or similar project management software
- Project management training or certification
- Prior experience in a startup environment
- Experience productizing modular skidded systems
- Experience with gas or liquid separation process technologies
