Soldering Tech Lead/Assembly Technician

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician with a strong focus on soldering capabilities and electronic assembly. While the role includes some inspection tasks, the primary responsibility will be assembly and soldering. Familiarity with tuning is a significant plus. A soldering test will be part of the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by following work orders, production drawings, sample assemblies, or verbal instructions.
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
• Conduct on-line go/no-go testing and inspection using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to ensure products meet production specifications and standards.
• Inspect products in real time to ensure they are built to print and conform to IPC-610 workmanship standards.
• Perform basic soldering and rework of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components.

Equipment Used:

• Tote bins, trays, and carts
• Hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, forming tools, soldering irons, etc.)
• Solder pot and hot plate
• Engraver
• Water test tank
• Glue dispensing equipment
• Microscope

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong comprehension of written and oral instructions.
• Proficiency in soldering and assembly techniques.
• Ability to conduct inspections and tests to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of electronic assembly and inspection experience is preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
