Maintenance Technician III

Your role:
As Maintenance Technician III, you will be responsible for planning the routine maintenance at the facility. You will identify opportunities and make recommendations to streamline day-to-day work processes. You will also implement new work procedures to support the change process. You will provide leadership to the maintenance crew. This role will ensure the day-to-day execution of each of the areas in maintenance. To succeed, you must be able to:

Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain work plans
- Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned
- Understand how to work safely and speak up when you are not able to work safe.
- Possess the basic knowledge of plant equipment that is required to perform preventative maintenance. PM will include lubrication of bearing, checking oil in hear reducers, changing oil in gear reducers, replacing bearings etc.
- Learn and implement predictive technologies into Newton’s preventative maintenance work plans. For example, use of IR, vibration analysis, UE technology, etc.
- Demonstrate proficiency on computer, especially with emails. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word.
- Maintain inventories utilizing computerized maintenance management system
- Manage and promote plant safety incorporating safety plans, hazards, and precautions into daily planning activities
- Update and maintain equipment history records
- Responsible for ordering, receiving, and shipping spare parts
- Track and provide meaningful measures to improve efficiency
- Develop strategies for maintenance of all plant equipment and eliminate failures through root cause analysis and reliability centered maintenance activities
- Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and technical service providers
- Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years or 4 to 8 years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance process, activities, and maintenance management system
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable Predictive and Preventative Maintenance technologies
- Understanding of operating context of site assets / process systems
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance safety practices
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and lead others to work as a team.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions (With or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and Holidays
- Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:
- Heat/cold temperatures (inclement weather)
- Indoor/outdoor environment
- Dusty environment
- Noisy environment
- Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes
- Elevated places, to include stairs/ladders
- Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks
Other Considerations:
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, 7-day weeks, and opposing shifts, when needed

- Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:
We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $27.40 - $36.38, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
