Ardmore Language Schools are experts in providing educational travel courses to junior students from around the world. With over 30 years of experience, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality courses that include language and cultural programs in our residential and homestay centers across the United Kingdom and United States. Our main objective is for our students to enjoy their time at one of our centers while experiencing the culture and improving their English in a safe and friendly environment.
The Centre Manager oversees all aspects of the summer program and are responsible for all on/off campus operations. The Centre Manager will collaborate closely with students, managers, support staff, and Group Leaders to ensure smooth operations of our summer program. Weekend and evening work required.
The Centre Manager will live on campus at Saint Peters University in Jersey City, NJ. The Centre Manager is also expected to have in-depth knowledge of the state of New York its popular tourist destinations.
We are seeking availability starting end of June through beginning of August!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the center’s daily operations to ensure a high-quality experience for students and staff.
- Lead and support a team of managers, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for host site staff, group leaders, and head office.
- Oversee program execution, ensuring smooth arrivals, departures, and daily schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of staff, student data, and financial transactions.
- Ensure student safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior at all times.
- Monitor and control the center’s budget, cash flow, and resource allocation.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in an educational, summer camp, or hospitality setting.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and financial processes.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous summer school or camp management experience.
- Experience in staff training and development.
- First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
COMPENSATION
$1,000 per week including accommodation and full board.
