Description
Responsible for providing direct service and support to victims of elder abuse.
- Works with organizations within the community to provide support for victims of elder abuse.
- Provides appropriate intervention while empowering elder individuals to make decisions on their own behalf to decide on their path and their actions.
- Assist in training organizations and providers on detecting elder abuse, bullying and assist victims of domestic violence.
- Guides victims of elder abuse through the criminal justice process; accompany them to court proceedings as needed.
- Assists elders seeking advocacy and assistance applying for emergency housing and other housing related issues.
- Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities.
- Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.
- Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
- Answers phone for Supervisor or department. Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
- Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. within MS Office programs and Canva. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout and making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy of final copy.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling or psychology or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of MS Office programs and Canva.
- Ability to travel out of the area and overnight.
- Valid driver's license.
