Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator/Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, managing customer relationships, and driving sales for our glass service department. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating residential glass projects, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Estimating:
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for residential glass projects.
- Ensure all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted within deadlines.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors, property managers, and homeowners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to generate repeat business.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential clients.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.
- Follow up on leads and proposals to close sales effectively.
Installation Coordination:
- Work closely with the installation team to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.
- Provide ongoing customer support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, sales, and customer interactions in CRM software.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in estimating, sales, or project management within the glass or construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and architectural drawings.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with estimating software, PDF Construction Software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Sales Acumen: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to prepare precise and competitive estimates.
- Customer Service: Commitment to providing excellent service and support.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards.
