Position Overview:
We are looking for a Front Counter Associate to join our team for the busy season! This role involves assisting customers in-store and over the phone, processing sales, and handling product inquiries. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-energy setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in customers with product selection and purchases
- Answer a high volume of phone calls, taking orders for pick-up and delivery
- Utilize computers for invoicing, inventory lookup, and basic data entry (experience with Microsoft Office & QuickBooks is a plus!)
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Provide pricing, product information, and general support to customers
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software (QuickBooks experience is a plus!)
- Strong math skills for pricing, invoices, and transactions
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
- Must be available to work Saturdays, especially during peak season
- Knowledge of landscape materials is helpful but not required – we’ll train you!
Position Details:
- Seasonal role: March – November (subject to weather and business conditions)
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time availability (Saturdays are required during peak season)
- Pay: Competitive, based on experience
