POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will uphold the core values and overall mission of protecting our customers’ people, business, and time. This position will have a passion for excellence, safety, and compliant operations. The Project Manager will coordinate and communicate with Traffic Control Supervisors, Flaggers, and customers daily on equipment and scheduling needs for each work zone while supporting site safety initiatives and daily job site analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and support multiple projects – communicating with the contractor, TCS onsite, Flaggers
- Coach employees in Traffic Control standards and company policies to ensure safe, compliant work zones
- Coordinate with the scheduler daily regarding the staffing of each work zone
- Communicate with shop manager regarding equipment needs for TCS
- Complete multiple job site inspections once a week utilizing inspection checklist
- Monitor and track all location assets for each project
- Weekly meetings with the billing analyst to ensure accuracy before invoicing
- Approve and validate payroll daily
- Meet all deadlines daily to secure payment from the contractor
- Review contracts to ensure compliance
- Ensures safety compliance by overseeing OSHA, DOT, and other compliance-related guidelines
- Resolve any customer service issues quickly and efficiently to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and professionalism
- Responsible for employee accountability regarding practices and procedures
- Participate in weekly office and safety meetings
- Provide support in the field when needed
- Protects the company's employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices
- Subject matter Expert in Work Zone Setup and Design and Professional Flagging responsibilities
- Additional job duties may be required as designated and assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- Current TCS Certification (CCA and ATSSA) - Required
- 2 years of field management experience- Required
- Prior experience in the Traffic Control Service Industry
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products, Salesforce, and customer relationship management systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
- Hours of operation may vary based on staffing needs and workload
- Typical workweek may be more than 40 hours and on-call rotation
- Majority of time will be in an office setting
- The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving vehicles, and occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites
- Noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud
- Position may lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds
- If necessary, in the field, stand for long periods and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts pushes, pulls, or carries objects
