Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide leadership to intake staff.
- Monitor staff schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage for intake services.
- Conduct regular team meetings to address challenges, review processes, and provide updates.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills.
- Responsible for all phone and in-person inquiries for triage and admission.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the intake process to maintain a steady workflow and minimize bottlenecks.
- Ensure timely completion of assessments, medical screenings, and initial documentation.
- Monitor waiting times and streamline processes to ensure efficient client flow.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to address barriers to admission promptly.
- Ensure clients are welcome into the facility with compassion and professionalism.
- Address client or family concerns related to the intake process.
- Advocate for client needs while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all OASAS regulations, HIPAA, and facility policies.
- Audit intake files regularly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Implement quality improvement measures to enhance the intake process.
- Work closely with clinical, medical, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless transition from intake to treatment.
- Act as a liaison between intake staff and other departments.
- Communicate updates and procedural changes to the intake team effectively.
- Develop and update intake protocols and workflows as needed.
- Prepare reports on intake metrics, including admissions volume, processing times, and staff performance.
- Manage intake-related supplies and resources, ensuring availability for smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification or licensure in a related field (e.g., CASAC, LCSW, LMHC) is an asset.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health, including supervisory roles.
- Familiarity with OASAS regulations and best practices for SUD intake and admissions.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered mindset.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with flexibility to address team needs during evenings, weekends, or emergencies.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
