Superintendent – Heavy Civil Construction

Position Overview
As a superintendent, you will be responsible for field operations, subcontractor coordination, safety, scheduling, and overall site management. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations for heavy civil construction projects, including earthwork, grading, underground utilities, concrete, and roadwork.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules to meet project milestones.
- Conduct site inspections, progress reports, and quality control checks.
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
- Lead and mentor field crews, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a superintendent in civil construction.
- Strong background in civil projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors, labor crews, and equipment operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of Hawaii construction regulations, environmental requirements, and permitting processes preferred.
- Ability to travel to various job sites across Oahu and other Hawaiian Islands as needed.
