Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is either a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or on track to obtain their PE certification. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in commercial building systems design, a passion for delivering exceptional results, and a desire to contribute to meaningful projects in a supportive and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis:
- Develop mechanical systems designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy-efficient solutions, for a variety of commercial projects.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts to meet project specifications.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
- Client Interaction:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, both internal and external.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certification:Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California, or
- Actively pursuing PE certification with a clear path to licensure.
- Experience:5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within MEP firms or related industries.
- Proven expertise in commercial building projects, with experience in healthcare, education, or government sectors being an asset.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Familiarity with California Building Code and relevant industry standards.
- Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
