Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is either a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or on track to obtain their PE certification. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in commercial building systems design, a passion for delivering exceptional results, and a desire to contribute to meaningful projects in a supportive and flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis:
• Develop mechanical systems designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy-efficient solutions, for a variety of commercial projects.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts to meet project specifications.
• Project Management:
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Technical Expertise:
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
• Client Interaction:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, both internal and external.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certification:Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California, or
• Actively pursuing PE certification with a clear path to licensure.
• Experience:5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within MEP firms or related industries.
• Proven expertise in commercial building projects, with experience in healthcare, education, or government sectors being an asset.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Familiarity with California Building Code and relevant industry standards.
• Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
