Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Construction Superintendent to join their team. This role will lead on-site construction efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Oversee all on-site activities for commercial construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily tasks and long-term planning with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Site Management:
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction site at all times.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and codes.
- Scheduling & Communication:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, updating stakeholders as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related questions and issues.
- Lead on-site meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and inspections to mitigate risks.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all safety protocols and incidents.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve on-site challenges quickly and effectively.
- Proactively address potential delays, conflicts, or resource shortages.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure top-quality results.
- Perform final walkthroughs and punch-list completion for project closeout.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Proven success managing complex projects valued at $5M .
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $130,000, based on experience.
