Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a solid understanding of construction processes, including blueprint reading and contract management.
Duties
- Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure successful completion of construction projects.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, ProCore, and HeavyBid for project documentation and management.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including changes in scope or schedule.
- Conduct site visits to assess work quality and adherence to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field required.
- Proven experience in construction project coordination or engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Procore is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders in the construction process.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
