ARES Corporation is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Space Communications and Spectrum Management Office (MSC) within NASA’s Space Flight Systems (SFS) Directorate at Glenn Research Center (GRC). This role plays a key part in advancing NASA’s space communications portfolio, including the development of cutting-edge communication technologies and commercial services.
The selected candidate will provide critical project coordination support for the Communication Services Project (CSP), facilitating status reporting at multiple levels, ensuring alignment with NASA’s guidelines, and maintaining seamless communication among MSC, the SFS Directorate, and the Space Communications and Navigation (SCAN) Program Office at NASA Headquarters. This position also requires engagement with industry partners, Agency stakeholders, and Center facilitators to drive project success. Provide expert knowledge, experience, and capabilities for the following:
Responsibilities:
- Project integration or management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and other relevant platforms for tracking project progress
- Ability to develop visualizations in Power BI or other systems to create easy to understand reporting.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to communicate complex project data to high-level audiences in a concise and impactful way.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams), and other relevant software
- Strong organizational, time-management and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to arrange, coordinate and facilitate meetings and reviews .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills allowing for clear communication between different project leads, including engineers, scientists, technicians, and management.
- Ability to oversee the project schedule with key project members schedules.
- Demonstrate compliance with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) rules and regulations, safeguarding sensitive data, and ensuring proper handling, storage, and transmission of CUI in accordance with federal policies.
Experience:
- A Bachelor's of Science or a Bachelor’s of Art with 10 or more years of experience.
