The Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) Manager at Los Angeles Air Force Base is responsible for overseeing the CIPS and managing all new IT requirement requests in compliance with TO 00-35D-3005. This role entails developing and coordinating technical solutions with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the timely processing of IT requirements, and serving as the primary point of contact for CIPS at LAAFB. Additionally, the CIPS Manager will train unit CIPS Points of Contact (POCs) on proper request submission procedures, maintain Communications and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIRs), and manage CIPS Visualization Component (CVC) records related to telecommunications infrastructure, including coaxial, fiber, and copper cabling. Responsibilities also include coordinating cable plant modifications, ensuring accurate documentation of infrastructure changes, and conducting quality control (QC) reviews on CVC updates.

Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited or CAE-designated institution, combined with five or more years of relevant experience; or
- Ten or more years of experience in IT infrastructure planning, records management, or network operations.
Essential Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with TO 00-35D-3005 and TO 00-33A-1001.
- Expertise in managing CIPS, Communications and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIRs), and CIPS Visualization Component (CVC) records.
- Experience in coordinating IT projects, developing technical solutions, and ensuring compliance with Air Force IT planning standards.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure documentation, quality control processes, and reviewing IT modifications.
- Prior experience in training personnel on CIPS processes and collaborating with stakeholders to implement infrastructure changes is highly desirable.
- The role may require occasional travel to Fort MacArthur and other locations
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
- Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) / TO 00-35D-3005 -- Managing the Cyberspace Infrastructure with the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
