Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques for in-house commercial projects. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople in our workshop and must be able to read blueprints and follow project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply automotive paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the scope of work required for each project.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and finishing.
- Collaborate with our welder and other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Renovate and restore surfaces as required, maintaining high standards of quality throughout the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Experience with automotive paint is a plus.
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople.
