Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques for in-house commercial projects. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople in our workshop and must be able to read blueprints and follow project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Apply automotive paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the scope of work required for each project.
• Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and finishing.
• Collaborate with our welder and other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
• Renovate and restore surfaces as required, maintaining high standards of quality throughout the process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Experience with automotive paint is a plus.
• Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
