The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Tax Assistant, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, detail oriented and process driven. This role is administrative in nature and would report to the tax manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage correspondence from tax authorities.
- Coordinate with AP, Accounting, and Treasury to ensure accurate billing and timely payment of taxes and consultants.
- Own invoicing, bill aging, and budget tracking within tax department.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders consistent with Arevon’s internal process.
- Coordinate Engagement Letters with Arevon legal and consultants.
- Prepare Form W-9s.
- Assist Tax Department with internal and external monthly updates.
- Assist Tax Department with documenting internal processes & controls.
- Assist with document archiving and record keeping.
- Manage team calendar and events.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred, but relevant work experience will be strongly weighed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint is required.
- Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner (verbal/written) with internal personnel and tax authorities.
Location
This position is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and functions on a hybrid schedule (in-office days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). A fully remote location will not be considered for this role.
