We are seeking a Job Change Pit Crew - Packaging to join the team in Valdosta, GA

Reports to: Job Change Manager/Coordinator
Responsibilities:
The Job Change Packaging Engineer will perform job changes for the in-production control coordination within the packaging area. This position will also assess the vitality of the equipment and make decisions on the needed or preventative maintenance of all machinery. Will be accountable for the job changes' effectiveness and be expected to continuously improve efficiency and flexibility.
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services
- Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
- Make recommendations for new initiatives to positively impact productivity
- Rebuild or repair all packaging equipment
- Modify timing, adjust settings and remove any optimize process flows on packaging machines and conveyors
- Diagnose, adjust or repair equipment as needed
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment consistent with Arglass policies and procedures while striving for zero accidents.
- Maintain an effective working relationship within functional area and with other departments ensuring effective and timely communication.
- Partner with other department to resolve issue and create new solutions
- Maintain administrative records and activities
- Control cost and remain on budget
- Train and develop other personnel
- Help create a dynamic, results-oriented and fulfilling company culture based on teamwork
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in a related Engineering field of study or equivalent work experience
- Some knowledge of industrial applications of mechanical and electrical systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

- Essential physical requirements such as climbing, bending, reaching, standing, stooping or typing.
- Standing and walking throughout a 12-hour shift.
