Job Title: Entitlements Specialist
Job Summary:
Entitlements Specialist is responsible for the procurement and maintenance of client benefits necessary to implement medical, mental health and substance use disorder treatment services. This includes the procurement of all necessary identification documentations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Conducts benefits and financial assessment of new clients upon admission to determine income status and method of payment (e.g. Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, or third-party insurance).
· Submits all applications for entitlements in a timely manner.
· Monitors all client SSA and related benefits so that certification requirements are addressed expeditiously, and benefits are consistently maintained.
· Assists consumers in applying for documents such as birth certificates, social security card, etc.
· Ensures clients MCO enrollment.
· Manages client’s daily correspondence on their behalf to government agencies.
· Keeps Clinical team ad Billing Team informed of clients’ entitlements status.
· Completes weekly eligibility status report.
· Must have experience with HER.
· Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
Qualifications/Criteria:
· A minimum of three years (3) of entitlements experience.
· Experience working with adults with mental health and substance use disorder.
· Experience administering benefits with social security, Medicaid, public assistant and SNAP.
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services preferred, or HSD/GED with 3 years of required experience.
