What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Cast Utility position at Argus Technical Services?
Die Cast Utility - 1st Shift
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
•Tooling Management: Install and remove tooling in die casting machines.
•Casting Quality Control: Produce good casting samples for quality assurance approval prior to production.
•Process Optimization: Assist with process adjustments to maintain or improve casting quality.
•Maintenance and Repairs: Change cores, shot rods, shot tips, and spray guns as needed. Perform furnace tending and metal transfers.
•Material Handling: Manage and transport materials efficiently.
•Relief Operations: Cover relief operator duties as required.
•Shift Preparation: Assist in facilitating a smooth start of the shift.
A successful candidate should possess prior manufacturing experience within a factory environment. Die casting or foundry experience is beneficial. The role requires standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are crucial. The candidate must be willing to learn, follow supervisor directions, and collaborate effectively with team members. Additional duties may be assigned to support production goals. A positive attitude and regular punctuality are essential, with safety being our top priority.
