Engineering Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage engineering staff, their projects, schedules & workloads
- Responsible for the design, documentation, implementation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of products, manufacturing and engineering tools and systems as required
- Provides designs that meet all requirements (customer, industry, cost, performance, reliability, etc.)
- Experience writing system specs, product requirements documents & prototype test plans
- Develop and work with the design engineering teams on projects
- Manage the release of engineering order to meet requirements and internal goals
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure customer needs are met
- Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting manufacturing related problems
- Maintain design requirements, bills of material, schematics, and all necessary documentation for specific product groups
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to devise corrective actions
- Research and analyze customer requests for proposals to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and after-market service requirements of designs or applications
- Utilize Sustaining Engineering department team as the conduit for New Product Introductions.
- Be fully informed of product designs and work as a partner with the NPD group to insure successful launches.
