Tool Maker act
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Make and repair inserts, work on molds, jigs and fixtures.
Fabricate tools for new orders.
Perform tool reconditioning, tool maintenance and tool preventative maintenance to keep them in proper working order.
Revise existing tooling to improve quality product, improve production and reduce costs.
Work with minimum supervision and be a team player.
Provide minor maintenance on machines in tool room.
Build and trouble shoot End of Arm Tooling
Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications

Education and / or Experience
Two-year degree in machine tooling or similar discipline, or five years' experience in a machine shop / tool room.
Experience with plastic molding required.
Practical experience in the operation and set up of machine tools.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Good organizational / planning skills.
Must have strong mechanical and math skills
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret cad drawings (blue prints)
Basic computer skills including Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Working knowledge of Master Cam, AutoCad, E-Drawings and Solidworks
Ability to communicate effectively.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds.
