Job Description :
Looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to focus on eliminating waste in the manufacturing processes and apply innovative systems to improve production workflow(s). This role is to set criteria for quality and speed, then consistently measure manufacturing processes and evaluate their success. Identify delays in production and sources of waste, then use engineering principles to refine the system(s). Adjust production areas and integrate new systems to improve the supply and production chain. Train factory staff on how to properly incorporate new methods into current production standards.
Responsibilities :
Will include, but are not limited to, the following :
1.) Maintaining production quality records and quality records.
2.) Maintain and expand 5 S Initiatives in all production cell areas.
3.) Maintain and expand Raw Material Certifications, inspections and disposition.
4.) Document and disposition of all Corrective Actions both internal and external documents. 5.) Expand and develop Production Work Instructions and Training Initiatives.
6.) Assist Supervisors in conducting daily meetings with employees in the areas of Quality, Production and Safety.
7.) Assist with, and perform quoting of various new production items.
8.) Assist with completion of Production Reports of completed production items.
9.) Maintain tooling and print control for production.
10). Help maintain production equipment along with record keeping and Improve efficiencies where possible.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering preferred. Willing to consider someone who will be graduating with a degree this fall semester.
