Description

As an HR Business Partner, you'll build strong relationships across the company while fostering a high-performing environment rooted in transparency, collaboration, and empathy. You'll work closely with leadership on key People initiatives such as performance management and leadership development while embodying and promoting our culture throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders to align HR support with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on HR matters, including employee relations, performance, and organizational development.
  • Proactively engage with leaders on people strategy through workforce planning, organization design, and structure.
  • Handle employee relations matters fairly and promptly in compliance with policies and laws.
  • Create and execute strategies that engage, retain, and develop employees.
  • Conduct confidential meetings between managers and employees.
  • Act as a coach and confidant to employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on talent management programs and processes.
  • Understand the business, talent, and organization strategy and align these strategies to the current and future workforce needs and initiatives of the business.
  • Use data to help develop and drive the HR agenda.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and translate engagement data into action plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in HR with prior Business Partner experience supporting retail teams in ideally in multi-site, fast-paced, national locations
  • Excellent collaborator in partnering with the extended People team on talent and culture development
  • Proven ability to take initiative, get things done, and prioritize
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfort presenting People-related initiatives to the organization
  • Confidence in openly negotiating and influencing others, demonstrating courage and the ability to effectively push back with leaders with data-driven and logical rationale
  • Demonstrated credibility, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Naturally collaborative with proven ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience managing complex employee relations with tact, diplomacy, and discretion
  • Strong communication skills, passion for learning, self-motivation, and self-awareness

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Primary strategic partner to leaders.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management and performance improvement plans through best practices for crucial conversations, performance improvement discussions, progressive disciplinary action, and terminations.
  • Creation and implementation of an effective ER strategy for field leaders, CA/PIAP process, exit interview and talent turnover data.
  • Collaborate with HR team to ensure leaders are fully supported.
  • Conduct necessary reviews, analyses, and insights, to better understand current ER trends within the organization, as well as turnover and retention metrics, to create targeted interventions.

Essential Experience, Skills, And Knowledge

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in progressively responsible roles within human resources, including human resources business partner or “generalist”.
  • Previous experience with employee relations matters.
  • Knowledgeable in leading edge business practices, trends, and information.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong collaboration and team-oriented approach with an ability to positively influence others across an organization at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, self-confident individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and transformation.
  • Able to build credibility among senior management and peers to gain commitment and support for major initiatives while placing company’s interests first, Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Comfortable developing and delivering presentations utilizing data and insights.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with an ability to analyze and grasp the broader picture; Possesses an inquisitive nature.
