About Us: Aria Counseling is hiring full-time psychotherapists to join our small but thriving integrated practice. We provide compassionate, high quality mental health care in a supportive environment. While we specialize in psychodynamic modalities, we welcome applicants who draw from a range of pertinent approaches. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled, thoughtful, and motivated therapist. This role will focus on providing in-depth treatment that fosters insight and promotes meaningful change. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in psychodynamic theory and a keen curiosity about the underlying developmental and emotional processes that shape subjectivity.
This is a full-time (W-2) position with generous compensation and benefits, including billing and marketing support, clinical supervision, mentoring toward full licensure and part-time office use in downtown Chicago.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans grounded in psychodynamic principles.
- Provide therapeutic sessions aimed at exploring unconscious processes, relational patterns, and emotional struggles.
- Utilize reflective and interpretive techniques to help clients gain insight into their experiences and relationships.
- Foster a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the practice.
- Collaborate with other clinicians and participate in regular supervision and case conference.
- Build and maintain a full caseload of at least 25 client sessions per week
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited university
- Licensure (or qualification for licensure) in Illinois
- Strong foundation in psychodynamic theory
- At least 2 years of direct clinical experience
- Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients
- Commitment to personal and professional growth and positive engagement with colleagues
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
