What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook cook position at Aria Nursing and Rehab?
Aria Nursing and Rehab is seeking full-time Cooks to assist with the preparation of food for our fantastic patients and residents.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
- Prepare food (such as beverages, salads, desserts, and other items) for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu for meals and snacks, as well as employees and special events.
- Prepare portions food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
- Prepare and serves food including texture modified and therapeutic diets according to the facility menu.
- Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Use the correct portion control utensils during the preparation, pre-portioning, and service of food.
- Label, date, and store food properly according to established policies.
- Ensure that refrigerator / freezer temperatures are within the appropriate range.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our candidates will possess the ability to effectively communicate with patients and other staff.
Educational requirements :
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Previous experience in food industry preferred.
