English-Spanish Translator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Translator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating written content from one language to another, ensuring that the original meaning, tone, and context are preserved. This role requires a strong command of multiple languages and the ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries. The Translator will work closely with various departments to facilitate clear communication and understanding.

Duties

• Translate written documents and materials from source language to target language while maintaining accuracy and context.
• Proofread translated materials to ensure quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with other linguists and team members to enhance translation processes and methodologies.
• Write original content in both source and target languages when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to clarify translation requirements and expectations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation.

Qualifications

• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in English and at least one other language is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Proven experience in translation, transcription, or interpretation preferred.
• Strong writing skills in both source and target languages.
• Excellent proofreading abilities with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with translation software or tools is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration.
• A degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
