What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Content Management (WCM) Operations Lead position at Ariel Partners?
OTI provides for the sustained, efficient, and effective delivery of IT services, infrastructure, and telecommunications to enhance service delivery to New York City's residents, businesses, employees, and visitors. As the City's technology leader, OTI is responsible for maintaining the foundational IT infrastructure and systems that touch every aspect of City life from public safety to human services, from education to economic development crossing the full spectrum of governmental operations.
The successful candidate will serve as the Applications WCM (Web Content Management) Operations Lead reporting to the OTI Applications division. This position is responsible for supporting the City’s web content management system, TeamSite, that was upgraded in the Application Modernization program.
The WCM Operations Lead will also be responsible for leading upgrade initiatives to improve the capabilities and security of both TeamSite and the associated websites it maintains such as www.nyc.gov and the City’s intranet. This role offers the opportunity to work across teams and increase the productivity of 800 business users across the City agencies who publish content to www.nyc.gov .
Lastly, it requires critical thinking and creative problem solving, along with industry best practices and AWS cloud experience, to operate these services
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide operational support of the TeamSite and LiveSite products in on-prem and AWS environments, including responding to tickets opened.
· Drive the upgrade and patching of TeamSite and LiveSite applications to ensure that the most up-to-date and secure versions of the software are used.
· Business Continuity and Disaster Recover design, planning and implementation for cloud environments.
· Enablement and support of requisite insight and monitoring tools for TeamSite, LiveSite and related applications.
· Build and configure Azure DevOps pipelines to install/upgrade/patch TeamSite & LiveSite, deploy custom code and configuration to destination environments.
· Coordinate with various groups within OTI to ensure the successful completion of migrations to the test and production environments.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
· At least 8 years of experience developing and maintaining OpenText TeamSite/LiveSite and Java applications.
· Experience with OpenText TeamSite/LiveSite 16.4 or later
· Strong oral and written communications skills.
· Self-motivated, must be a proven team leader.
· Keeps calm under pressure while providing guidance to an operational team, particularly in an outage scenario.
· In depth knowledge of Linux system administration.
· Working operational and development knowledge of Java and JavaScript.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with various infrastructure teams to achieve project/organization-specific goals.
· Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
· Experience with AWS Services such as EC2, Fargate w/ECS, EFS, RDS.
· Experience with Azure DevOps Boards, Repos (GIT) and Pipelines.
· Experience with Nginx, Apache, or equivalent HTTP server.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· Experience with providing operational support for an enterprise web content management system
· Experience upgrading OpenText TeamSite from versions 16.4 to 16.6, or 16.6 to 20.x or later
· Understanding of SSL Certificates
· Experience integrating OpenText TeamSite with LDAP or SAML2 for user management
· Experience with Spring Boot 2.5 and later
· Experience with containerization
· Experience with supporting custom-specific shell scripts in bash and Perl
