What You'll DoAs a Bilingual Habilitation Support Specialist, you'll guide, coach, and support individuals and families receiving habilitation services-helping them build life skills, achieve goals, and succeed in home and community environments.You will:
- Teach engaging habilitation training classes (in-person & Zoom)
- Provide hands-on coaching to parents, caregivers, and habilitation providers
- Help individuals improve self-help, social, and adaptive living skills
- Review and monitor progress toward personal habilitation goals
- Collaborate closely with families, providers, and support coordinators
- Serve as a positive role model and advocate for our members
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, social work, or a related field
- 2 years of hands-on experience in habilitation services or behavioral therapy
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (required)
- Training and classroom presentation experience (a plus!)
- Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Must be 18 or older
- Pass a background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other common applications
