Campus Coordinator Position Description
The Board of United College Ministries in Northern VA (Arise) seeks a Christ- centered, mission-minded team builder to be a presence on the campus of George Mason University. The Campus Coordinator will engage with students and lead ministry activities on campus. This is a full-time position at 35 non-standard hours (12 months, year-round) beginning as soon as possible. Responsibilities
- Establish relationships with students through leading life-groups, one-on-ones, and collaboration.
- Help establish and implement opportunities for students to grow in their Christian faith.
- Develop and implement programs to reach various students at GMU and NoVA Community College campuses.
- Develop and execute strategies that invite students into discipleship, mission, and worship.
- Attend and give regular reports to the Board at their meetings.
- Supply information promptly and accurately to the Director of Ministry Operations for their reporting.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Ministry Director.
Working Relationships:
The Campus Coordinator will work in close partnership with the Ministry Director. The Campus Coordinator will be expected to work at George Mason’s Fairfax campus, providing additional outreach to satellite campuses as needed. It is important to note that this position comes with the expectation of evening hours to connect with students. The position will require working at least 25 hours on campus (GMU Fairfax or satellite campuses) during the semester.
Compensation:
Annual salary begins at 40,000 based on experience, with paid time off and medical insurance reimbursement amount.
