Aristocrat is a highly successful business delivering Class III and Class II gaming machines across the United States and is the main component of the Company’s global land-based gaming business. As the Senior Accountant – Revenue, this role has responsibility for revenue recognition for the Interactive line of business, based out of Las Vegas. This role partners with the Billing and Commercial Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing to customers, and appropriate revenue recognition. This role is part of the Global Shared Services team whose vision is to provide superior service experiences to our customers and employees to support scalable business growth.

Pay Range
$70,735 - $131,365 per year
Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
What You'll Do
Revenue Recognition
- Prepare monthly revenue accounting close efforts, including assurance of accurate and timely results
- Prepare journal entries, ensure adequate supporting documents are attached
- Prepare month-end revenue accruals; revenue variance analysis; account reconciliations; month-end tie outs
- Assist in review of contracts to advise and implement accounting treatment and make recommendations during contract drafting and document significant terms and accounting conclusions
- Review of any revenue accounting adjustments, for example, write-offs, bundles
- Receive revenue acceptance worksheets, gather all sales documentation, consolidate and manage through the invoicing process
- Coordinate with sales operations to ensure all sales orders are processed/shipped for invoicing during the month
- Calculate revenue recognition impacts for discounting or special offers to customers on revenue arrangements
- Partner with IT and Billing teams to build automation of billing and revenue recognition, and support any investigations into billing issues
- Key connector between IT and the Billing team. Regular communication is required between the teams to ensure revenue arrangements are appropriately reported
- Assist efforts to develop policies and procedures that streamline revenue operations processes
- Lead research initiatives and resolve issues
- Advise Commercial Finance stakeholders on accounting impacts of transactions/help develop solutions to challenges with key focus on revenue transactions, margin analysis, and revenue recognition
- Ensures robust internal controls over revenue are performed, and ownership of control and process documentation for the revenue
- Ad hoc analysis and support as requested by management
- Cross skills with other senior accountants
- Ensures accurate and timely preparation of account reconciliations, with complete understanding of all outstanding balances
- Ensures appropriate supporting evidence is attached to account reconciliations
- Assist with audit requests as required (internal and external)
- Completing ad hoc regulatory reporting, as required
- Complete all tasks within prescribed time frames
- Perform analysis and financial research
- Work with COE Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements through the Finance Department
- Maintain a solid understanding of IFRS revenue recognition as documented by the Corporate office
- Finance System
- Embraces technology to help drive efficiency and process improvements across the revenue process
- Review data for accuracy and completeness
- As required, supporting the transition of new revenue streams
- Understanding of customer (internal and external) needs and adaptability to drive and deliver a superior service to key stakeholders
- Flexibility to accommodate global time zones to support the global finance team objective
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or equivalent required, preferably in gaming
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
- Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and be team oriented.
- Must have strong analytical skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills andbe able to manage multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Must possess a high level of personal and professional accountability and be able to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals and objectives.

- Proficiency in accounting and financial computer software
- Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/workstation, and respond to written and oral cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
