What are the responsibilities and job description for the DECATU SURVEILLANCE INVESTIGATOR TRAINEE position at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur (Las Vegas, NV)?
Summary: Under the supervision of the surveillance investigators, the surveillance investigator trainee utilizes provided equipment to identify, record, document and report illegal, unusual or suspicious activities and policy or procedure violations occurring in all gaming, non-gaming and back-of-the-house areas. Maintains knowledge of and understands the current property gaming operations, surveillance standard operating procedures and company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors the activities of guests and employees using a CCTV surveillance system
- Perform VCR tape changes
- Utilize digital video recording equipment
- Conduct player evaluations, audits and close watches of specific employees, guests and departments
- Tests for Investigator Level 1 within six months of date of hire or as required by surveillance management
- Maintains a continuous self-education program to constantly expand job knowledge and takes job-related quizzes at management’s discretion to demonstrate that knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- One year of experience working in law enforcement, security or surveillance systems operations is preferred
- Previous gaming experience is preferred
- Ability to find common sense solutions to problems and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret and communicate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to communicate in a group setting as well as one-on-one situations
- Ability to utilize computers and have a basic understanding of how a computer works
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals High school diploma or equivalent preferred
