The Department of Information Systems at the W. P. Carey School of Business is seeking a Program Coordinator to coordinate and complete multiple tasks and priorities for our AZNext Workforce Accelerator Partnership Grant Program within Arizona State University that is sponsored by the US Department of Labor. As the Placement Coordinator, this highly motivated and creative individual will work closely and collaboratively with the Program Director to engage and interface with, ASU Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) and stakeholder organizations to inform grant participants about the choice of training and career options and opportunities related to their personal and professional objectives. The Program Coordinator will provide career guidance, and assist with coordinating efforts to support grant participant placement goals.

Essential Duties
- Coordinates all aspects of the partnership between CPDS and AZNext focused on the career, internship and professional development of participants in the program. This includes the career centers in Fulton Schools of Engineering, W. P. Carey School of Business, and The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Coaches, instructs, and consults with diverse grant participants on career issues including major/career exploration, experiential education, job search tools and strategies, and interviewing skills through in person and virtual platforms. Increases participant usage of on-campus systems and services.
- Interacts and maintains liaison with participants, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives
- Coordinates and conducts employer partnership, participant outreach and monitoring of program outcomes and milestones
- Develops and maintains relationships with both internal and external partners including employers, grant staff, university staff and community stakeholders.
- Responds to all inquiries regarding project interest and status;
- Provides inputs on status reports including milestones/deliverables, placement activities, and participant’s progression
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with project team, participants and employer partners vital to project success
- Works on multiple, concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
- Acts as a liaison to various ASU CPDS constituencies
- Works collaboratively with the Project Director and Principal Investigator(s) to engage employers by coordinating events, workshops and meetings
- Proactively helps identify develop and deploy solutions to improve effectiveness of project operations.
- Utilizes knowledge of project purpose and scope in decision making and risk assessment, understanding impact on outcomes/success
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Experience in advising/coaching/counseling related to educational programming and student success in higher education.
- Demonstrated knowledge with recruiting practices
- Experience coordinating and planning work-based learning programs
- Experience with building connections and opportunities for participants/students/employees. Experience working in a higher education environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of database software
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe software
- Experience working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work and learning environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive
- Experience organizing events
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
