What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer I position at arizona?
- Plans, organizes, and refines curricula, materials and programs to meet the course learning objectives for both the student sections and the preceptor and TA training sections.
- Analyzes learning needs of the laboratory class and the learning assistants and learns greater depth of knowledge to help TAs navigate course content and delivery. Helps current teaching team with details of content delivery and lab management and section timing.
- Works to ensure course materials, content, protocols, reagents and learning management system is current and relevant.
- Plans and coordinates TA skill assessments and trainings as well as preceptor activities to help facilitate content delivery in lab classrooms. Also, works to analyze and revise laboratory assignments and quizzes.
- Teaching several sections, help with preparation of laboratory materials and provide backup teaching support.
