What are the responsibilities and job description for the T-Line Maintenance Technician position at Ark-Tex Council of Government?
The Ark-Tex Urban Transit (ATUT) is now accepting applications for Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the T-Line Transportation Maintenance Program in the area of scheduling maintenance and responsible in the coordination of the preventive maintenance to the T-Line fleet. Responsible for the ATUT Maintenance inventory such as ordering tools and supplies on an as-needed basis. Also, this position is responsible for the T-Line Maintenance Facility, including the building and grounds.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
High school diploma, or its equivalent, plus three (3) years' experience working with vehicle maintenance programs which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Possess a valid Driver's License in order to drive all T-Line transit vehicles.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge of vehicle fleets and vehicle maintenance principles. Knowledge of principles of government organization and administration, local government management, or knowledge and appreciation of factors involved in urban transit. Must possess organizational skills. Ability to coordinate program activities among numerous agencies, groups, and local governments; interpret and communicate to others relevant state and federal rules, regulations, and guidelines; and to
initiate and maintain effective, productive working relationships with local, state and federal officials, and the general public necessary. Ability to think creatively and to express ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively in writing, orally, or in addresses to audiences. Demonstrated proficiency in use of personal computers using a variety of software programs. Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds required.
Additional Requirement: Must possess a valid Driver's License subject to an approved motor vehicle report and reliable transportation with valid proof of insurance for travel as required.
