LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL – Criminal Division
The Attorney General of Arkansas Tim Griffin is seeking to hire a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for the Criminal Division.
The Criminal Division in the Office of the Arkansas Attorney General has an opening for a full-time legal assistant to provide administrative support to its legal staff. Three years of legal secretarial experience is preferred. The applicant will be required to prepare correspondence, legal briefs and responses and should possess strong organization, communication, and word processing skills. It is preferred that the candidate have experience assisting an attorney whose practice includes both litigation and non-litigation work, as well as experience with electronic document filing. Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Word, case management software, and Microsoft Outlook computer software. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working with others, be able to handle the demands of assisting multiple attorneys and staff with heavy workloads, and maintain a professional attitude in handling telephone inquiries.
Candidates must have verifiable experience successfully working with multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing documents for filing, experience working with outside printers and vendors, and experience handling travel arrangements and reimbursements, and be detail oriented.
