Job Description:
The DFA Regulatory Enforcement Agent is responsible for enforcing all Arkansas alcohol, tobacco, and medical marijuana laws. This position requires strong law enforcement skills, including basic operating standards and procedures, surveillance and investigative techniques, and knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws related to the sale, possession, purchase, and transportation of products
- Conduct inspections of permitted businesses for violations of state laws
- Collect evidence and testify at hearings and in court
- Respond to reports of crimes in progress and conduct crime scene assessments
- Issue summons or citations for misdemeanor crimes or violations
Requirements:
- Certification as a full-time law enforcement officer through the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training
- A valid Arkansas driver's license
- Three years of experience as a full-time law enforcement officer or the ability to transfer a current Federal or State certification
