Job Overview
The Associate Director of Institutional Research plays a vital role in shaping our institution's data-driven decision-making capabilities. As a key member of the Institutional Research and Effectiveness team, you will work closely with the Director to leverage accurate and reliable data, driving strategic initiatives and informing executive leadership.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain institutional data quality and integrity processes, including data definitions.
- Collaborate with departments to establish and enforce data standards, definitions, coding, and internal reporting.
- Support the Director in gathering, preparing, and submitting data to federal, state, system, and ad-hoc reporting entities.
- Validate and report data to the National Student Clearinghouse.
- Aid in process improvement to build scalable and sustainable processes for the future.
- Work as a strategic thought partner across campus to foster data literacy and informed decision-making.
- Communicate with institutional employees to understand business reporting needs and develop reports for self-service data in ARGOS.
- Provide training and technical support on customized reporting tools and various work processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, or statistics from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Expertise in data analysis, process redesign, systems analysis and design, and ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
