The H.O.W.L. / A.T.L.A.S. Transition Programs are seeking to fill several work study positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. H.O.W.L. stands for Helping Our Wolves Learn. A.T.L.A.S. stands for Autonomy through Leadership, Advocacy, and Service. Both Transition Programs provide a positive and inclusive university learning environment for individuals ages 18-26 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and / or Intellectual Disabilities (ID) to fully embrace the collegiate setting to acquire social, vocational, and life skills for independent living.
Duties & Responsibilities :
As a Job Coach, students will :
- Teach and reinforce job skills (e.g., soft skills and hard skills)
- Attend and observe the H.O.W.L. / A.T.L.A.S. Program students while in their work environment
- Promote the development of support within the workplace
- Write weekly notes of the client’s performance
- report client job performance in weekly meetings
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Prefer experience in either of the following : job training, education, business, psychology, health professions, or computer sciences. Must be a great advocate, patient, kind, dependable, driven, hardworking, timely, and good at communicating to others.
General Days / Hours :
The position will consist of 6-12 hours per week for the entire 2024-2025 school year per your work study guidelines.

Must be currently enrolled at A-State.
