Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and Review Incoming Faxes: Receive faxes from doctor's offices, ensuring all documents are complete and legible.
- Data Entry: Accurately and efficiently input data from faxes into our scheduling software and EHR system, following established data entry protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of data entered, making any necessary corrections.
- Organization: Maintain a well-organized filing system for incoming faxes, ensuring easy access to documents when needed.
- Timely Completion: Meet set deadlines for data entry tasks and ensure that all incoming faxes are processed promptly.
- Data Security: Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations when handling patient information and maintain the confidentiality of medical records.
- Communication: Collaborate with team members to address any data entry-related issues or questions.
- Training and Development: Willingness to participate in training and development programs as needed to enhance data entry skills.
Education:
High School diploma or G.E.D preferred.
Experience/Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; we are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to accuracy and organization.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical data privacy regulations is a plus.
Physical Requirements
This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to ten (10) pounds. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, handling, and balancing 5 or more hours per day. Sensory and communicative activities including: hearing seeing, and
speaking to be able to carry out essential job functions.
Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
