GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This role would be an RN who is looking for an administrative role that still will have them hands on with patients in clinic. They would oversee all areas of the clinical team in our 5 southern locations. The Clinic Nurse Manager works under supervision and in conjunction with the Director of Operations and is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the daily clinical operations of assigned clinics to ensure quality patient care. Supervises staff to provide adequate staffing and professional work environment promoting ongoing communication and learning.
HOURS
Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Administrative
- Strives to exhibit the organization’s standards in all areas of leadership.
- Assists Human Resources in screening of applicants and interviewing of candidates, when necessary.
- Assist with disciplinarian action of staff if needed
- In conjunction with the Director of Clinical Operations and COO establishes effective working relationships with physicians, patients and patient's families.
- Review and approve timecards and overtime for all clinical staff in assigned locations.
- Making the staffing schedule and assisting with finding coverage for call ins
- Assists the Director of Operations and the Patient Access Manager in addressing patient complaints.
- Lead quarterly nurse leadership meetings.
- Assists administration with special projects, as qualified when needed.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Clinical
- Provides general nursing care in clinic setting as required/needed.
- Serve as a backup, including filling in for providers as needed.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Observes, records and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Educates patients and family about diagnostic procedures and medications. Teaches patient how to do some of his own care.
- Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and exam results.
- Responds to and refers to incoming patient and physician phone calls.
- Responsible for all surgery orders to include History and Physical, prescriptions and Lab orders.
- Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned, including the role of a post-op clinic provider.
Requirements:
TRAVEL
Travel as needed to any of our 5 South clinic locations (Little Rock, Men’s Health in LR, Benton, White Hall, and El Dorado). Eligible for mileage reimbursement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The formal education equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of professional nursing theories, concepts, and methods. EMR/HER experience with 1 year in medical office setting preferred. Urology experience a plus.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
State of Arkansas Registered Nurse license. ACLS/BLS certification required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, driver's license/cdl, etc.)
