As a Flooring Sales Consultant, you'll own the full sales cycle, from initial client contact to job-site measurements and final product selection. This is a high-touch, consultative sales role ideal for someone with industry experience and an existing network of contractors or builders. You'll play a key role in growing the flooring side of the business and shaping our sales strategy in the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home or on-site consultations to assess flooring needs and take accurate measurements
  • Generate detailed and competitive proposals, including takeoffs and pricing breakdowns
  • Recommend appropriate materials and finishes based on the client's lifestyle, preferences, and budget
  • Lead clients through product selections, timelines, and expectations with professionalism and clarity
  • Prepare and present formal bids or estimates for approval, revising as needed based on scope changes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate material orders, scheduling, and logistics
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and up to date in CRM and sales tracking tools
  • Maintain relationships with general contractors, remodelers, and designers to generate repeat business
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and builder partnerships
  • Provide exceptional post-sale customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat engagements

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of sales experience in residential construction, flooring, or home improvement products
  • Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation methods, and current design trends
  • Demonstrated success managing a full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and delivery
  • Experience with quoting software and measurement tools; familiarity with CRM systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and the ability to generate precise measurements and accurate estimates
  • Independent and proactive with strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • An established network of industry contacts, especially contractors, builders, or designers, is highly valued
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate client availability

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full time position
  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission
  • Mileage reimbursement for job-related travel
  • Paid time off and holidays

In accordance with Washington state law, the estimated annual earnings for this role (base plus commission) range from $80,000 to $125,000, depending on experience and performance.
